Drivers?

What are Drivers and more importantly why do we need them?

All computers have many different components. that work together to create the computer that we have sitting in front of us now. Just like in real life these components need to communicate with each other and more importantly they need to communicate with the operating system to ensure that they will function as they are meant to

This communications is achieved through software written for the specific components by the people who make them and this software is referred to as Drivers.

 

Why Do I Need Drivers?

The first thing is not to worry as all computer systems I build have the latest drivers for the installed components. You will also have a CD-Rom that came with the computer with all these drivers on there incase of emergencies.

However the computing world moves on at a pace and new drivers are constantly being written this is especially true for graphics cards where new drivers can become available each month. That's not to say that you need to download these drivers all the time but if you have been experiencing some problems especially with newer games then these drivers can often solve those issues
