Working with WordArt
Step 1: Reduce Screen
To continue working with the file you are currently creating, you will need to un-zoom so you can see the entire document on your screen. To do this, press the F9 key again (this will restore your screen to normal).

Step 2: WordArt Frame Tool
Click the WordArt Frame Tool that appears on the toolbar. Note that this will also change the image of your cursor.
Step 3: Draw a WordArt Box
Below the image of the text box that you have created, draw a box for WordArt (it should be as large and about half as high as the text box). ![]()
Step 4: Enter Text
As soon as you release the cursor, a box prompting you for text will appear. In this box, type the motto - Beachside Splendor! Click Update Display and close the text entry window for the WordArt (click the X that appears on the upper right corner of the text entry window). ![]()
Step 5: Format the WordArt
Notice that the format for the WordArt is currently listed as Plain Text. Click the down arrow after Plain Text and change to a style you like. Change the font if needed. Try experimenting with the other WordArt options by clicking them (just as with emphasis effects, clicking an icon again reverses the process back). When you are finished, click outside of the WordArt box to return to your normal toolbars. ![]()
Step 6: Resave the File
Resave the file by clicking the image of the disk that appears on the toolbar. If you are planning to continue, leave the file open on your screen.
