Including Clip Art 

 

Step 1: Begin a New File

In this example, you will see how to include clipart (pictures) in your documents. Begin a new file by clicking File, New, Blank Publications, Full Page, and Create. Begin new file


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2: Access the Clip Gallery

Click the Clip Gallery Tool that appears on the toolbar. Clip gallery


 

 

 

Step 3: Draw Box for Clip Art

Click and draw the box for the clip art in the document window. For this example, make the box appear in the centre of the screen. Leave one inch or more around each side. As soon as you release the cursor, the clip gallery will load. Draw box for clipart


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 4: Access the Pictures Tab

Click the Pictures Tab that appears in the Microsoft Clip Gallery. This will give you access to categories of pictures you can use. Pictures tab: thumbnail


 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 5: Select Category & Picture

Click on the Category you want to use. Note that you can click the back button if you change your mind and want to use a different category. Click the picture you want to use and click OK. You may be prompted to place the Publisher CD in the CD ROM drive if the picture is not stored in the base collection on your hard drive. select catagory and picture: Thumbnail


 

 

 

 

 

Step 6: Save the File

Save the file by clicking File, Save As, typing the name Graphic1 and pressing the Save button. If you are planning to continue, leave the file open on your screen for now.
